Philly Photo Day 2012 was Friday, October 26th. On that day, everyone in the city was invited to take a photograph in Philadelphia. PPAC then displayed all 1,800 photographs that were submitted!
In addition, select images were placed on Septa buses and trains and billboards for the month of December. See the selected images for the billboard plus their locations!
Philly Photo Day 2012 was generously sponsored in part by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, as a part of their Knight Arts Challenge.
THANK YOU to all our generous Philly Photo Day 2012 Sponsors!
This project was supported by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency, through its regional arts funding partnership, Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts (PPA). State government funding for the arts depends upon an annual appropriation by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and support from the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency. PPA is administered in this region by the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance. Additional support of the PPA Partnership in Southeastern PA is provided by PECO.
